On the 28th of September, 2017, in the complaint brought by Hugo Humberto Ospina Agudelo – Presidente de la Asociación de Propietarios y Conductores de Taxi against Uber Colombia S.A.S., before the Colombian Ministry of Labour, the Coordinator resolved not to begin administrative sanctioning proceedings against Uber Colombia S.A.S. This decision was based on the fact that, on one side, the company fulfills its duties in paying all workers that have employment contracts. On the other hand, and regarding Uber drivers, it was affirmed that the drivers are not direct employees of the company and that the form of relationship with these people is not of an employment nature.
