On the 26th of June, 2023, in the case, “ “Aziz Al Hakmaoui c/ SARL Uber B.V, SASU Uber France”, the Lyon Employment Court was declared ineligible to resolve the dispute due to the lack of an employment relationship between relevant parties. The Court considered that the relationship between an Uber driver and Uber is not encompassed by an employment relationship, but rather has an associative context.
