On the 8th of May, 2019, in the case “Julian Carlos Nahuel Acta de Infrac. art. Nº 87 Ord.. X-W 5”, (ruling 3277/2022), the Court held that no regulation existed that prohibited the conduct employed by the driver. In particular, it found that the analogical application of taxi and remis (private taxi) service regulations is not permissible and, consequently, that the authorization requirements applicable to those platforms are not applicable to those who drive using Uber.
