On the 23rd of October, 2017, the IACHR sent a notification to the Argentine Republic under Article 41 of the American Convention on Human Rights, referring to the “Human Rights Situation of Uber Drivers in Argentina”. It condemned the acts of harassment and violence carried out by the Taxi Drivers’ Union and governmental authorities. It reminded the Argentine State that they have the obligation to prevent and sanction such behaviour by adopting the necessary measures to guarantee the full enjoyment of all rights by Uber drivers.
