On the 8th of May, 2019, in the case “Salort Mateo Emiliano”, the No. 1 Municipal Infractions Court acquitted an UberMoto driver against whom an infringement report had been filed for providing public passenger transportation services without authorization. To back up this ruling, the Court noted that, to that date, Ordinance XVI N° 116, which sought to reguate the provision of transportation services through intermediary digital platforms, had not been regulated. Therefore, the Enforcement Authority, created to oversee compliance with the ordinance, had neither been created nor appointed.
