New Decree From National Executive Branch In Favour Of Free Access For Uber At National Utilities Facility
The National Executive Branch, through Decree No. 883/2024 passed on the 4th of October, 2024, authorized the free entry of whichever vehicle to “public access areas of all national harbours, airports and aerodromes for the pick-up and drop-off of passengers and their transportation to any destination”. It included those contracted through digital platforms. As such, this decree established a new measure recognising the legality of services provided through Uber.

Driver's license: The free debt is unconstitutional
A Court of Guarantees granted an injunction filed by a lawyer, user of the Uber platform, who was denied the renewal of his license for having debts related to traffic, and thus declared unconstitutional the rule that established this requirement.
