On the 31st of December, 2017,in the 2017 Annual Report of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights,the Special Rapporteur for Freedom of Expression condemned the blocking of Uber’s website and app. These blocks were ordered by the Criminal and Infractions Court in CABA and were condemned for contradicting Inter-American standards regarding freedom of expression on the internet. The Rapporteur also condemned the blocking of payment methods, considering it a case of indirect censorship.
